Fumetto comics festival invited Egyptian artists Mohamed Wahba and Ahmed Hossam to exhibit their work about immigration from April 14 to 22. The two artists will have an opportunit to finish their research about the intercultural of immigration and meet with Swiss artists.
Fumetto exists since more than 25 years, based in the charming city Lucerne in the middle of Switzerland. The festival focus lies in exhibitions of Comics, or comic related art such as animation, performing or visual arts with a focus on narration. The comics it shows are independent, experimental or with conceptual approaches, and to show comics as a unique way of expression. Fumetto is also a platform for comics and artists all over the world, that aims to show comic as an art form of its own, which has developed in different parts of the world with all sorts of historical social backgrounds. One important place in contemporary storytelling through comics lies in comic journalism, which the Festival follow as well as technical developments towards for example narration in digital medias or augmented /virtual reality.
