Swiss Jazz singer Elina Duni had her amazing act on April 9, singing love, suffering, death, exile, sublimating everything with joy and beauty. This transcendence of suffering through art is found in Balkan music as in Jazz and Blues that Elina Duni manages to merge beautifully Pop would be too light for such serious themes. The project entitled “Leaving” spotlights Elina Duni as a soloist (accompanying herself on piano, acoustic guitar and percussion), and will be released in 2018 on ECM. ”
This year’s program focuses on novelty. Jazz à Carthage is bunking off school and going on the side paths of musical creation. If jazz underpins all programming, a breath of fresh air brings current music, pop, swing, soul and R & B … and a lot of youth! It’s from the old continent that the new generation of the Jazz, Blues and Soul scene are taking part of the Festival.
