Visual Arts

Born in Montreux in 1991. After completing her schooling, Morgane discovers a passion for art, graphic and multimedia design. In 2012, she attends the ERACOM school in Lausanne and obtains her multimedia designer diploma as well as her artistic matura. She then enrolls in the Visual Arts department of ECAL, the University of Art and Design of Lausanne – Switzerland. During the next four years, she experiments, develops and affirms her point of view and style as a sculpture/installation artist. She graduates with a Bachelor degree in June 2016. Some of her work is seen in collaborative exhibitions, notably at the contemporary art center of La Chaux-de-Fonds and at the galerie « Papillon » in Paris. She’s also invited to present a solo show “Actiniidae” at « Les Docks » exposition space in Lausanne.

Morgane Erpen’s artistic work is related to the modern way of life: the way we consume, the new technologies available to us and more specifically our impact on what surrounds us. Her interest naturally extends to themes of anthropocene, transhumanism, migratory movements, environmental science as well as new scientific and technological discoveries.

Her artistic work is closely related to experimentation and research around matter. She works primarily with installations. Her intent is to create immersive experiences, to allow the inclusion of the spectator in the pieces.

Morgane brings a form of life to her installations, sometimes using fire, sound waves or other mechanisms.
