Cie Finzi Pasca in Tunisia’s Carthage Theatre Days

During December 2021 in Tunisia, Switzerland’s Cie Finzi Pasca participates in the 22nd Carthage Theatre Days, which runs from December 4 to 12. The festival is a space for theatrical creations from Arab and African countries, but also features international productions while focusing on facilitating international exchange.
Created in 1983, by prominent female and male figures of the Tunisian theatrical scene, this festival keeps theatre in Tunisia alive, renews its repertoire and enhances collaboration between different stakeholders and those concerned with theatrical production around the world.
For 38 years, the Carthage Theatre Days Festival has brought together many theatre enthusiasts from all over the world. The spectators of this event number in the tens of thousands, attracted by the diverse Arab, African and international theatre production.
Pro Helvetia Cairo was pleased to support the participation of Cie Finzi Pasca with their “Bianco su Bianco”. A story of two characters; a stage technician who clumsily supports the actress and helps her create images that will carry the audience into a dreamlike, almost surreal, universe.
With remarkable finesse and precision, the artists create a world where light breathes and magnifies emotions. It builds a whole universe made of simple, yet surprising, geometries and passages.
